ACHD Achieves PHAB Accreditation

The Auglaize County Health Department is excited to announce we have achieved national accreditation status through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB)! Accreditation is a rigorous process that shows our commitment to quality and performance improvement, collaboration, and public health practice. We are proud to have our work and programs nationally recognized and remain committed to the health and wellbeing of our community!

PHAB is the non-profit organization that administers the national accreditation program for Tribal, state, local, and territorial health departments. To receive accreditation, a health department must undergo a rigorous, multi-faceted, peer-reviewed assessment to ensure it meets or exceeds a set of quality standards and measures.

Accreditation promotes consistency across the country through health departments meeting standards. As more health departments become accredited, the public will soon be able to receive the same quality, foundational public health services wherever they go in the United States.
